selecting your guinea pig
To select your guinea pig you should take notice of:
- There must be no discharge from eyes, ears, nose or mouth.
- The breathing should be regular and silent.
- The coat should be dense without being course.
- When handled, the guinea pig should feel ‘solid’ and well covered.
- An alert guinea pig with a shiny coat which is unsoiled by droppings or urine.
- Droppings should be formed without evidence of diarrhoea.
