Human kinds capabilities to exploit the vunerable, the earth and its resources has led to countless problems that need to be resolved. The British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection (BUAV) is the word's leading anti-vivisection campaigning organisation. Well what a start that was, in March 1999 we did not exist and now we have many supporters, have run a successful campaign to get a 24 veterinary emergency service, regular press coverage, a website (www.conscience.net), Involvement in ending the animal cruelty scandal at the SPCA, and instigating major reforms of the society, and are now gearing up to start our next campaigns.

The National Anti-Vivisection Society is a national, not-for-profit educational organization incorporated in the State of Illinois. NAVS promotes greater compassion, respect and justice for animals through educational programs based on respected ethical and scientific theory and supported by extensive documentation of the cruelty and waste of vivisection. NAVS' educational programs are directed at increasing public awareness about vivisection, identifying humane solutions to human problems, developing alternatives to the use of animals, and working with like-minded individuals and groups to effect changes which help to end the suffering of animals.

Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty was set up in 1999 with the sole aim of closing HLS down. SHAC campaigns for the closure of HLS using evidence obtained in five undercover investigations at their different laboratories in the UK and USA. -
